Mrazivý den / A Frosty Day

Marina Dowden is a self-taught artist based in Prague who loves to capture the ever-changing beauty of nature. Born to an Armenian family, Marina has developed deep connections to both England and Czechia. She began her career as a music teacher, then pursued studies in linguistics, eventually becoming an English teacher. However, she later discovered her passion for art. With a profound love for Impressionism, Marina views painting as the ultimate expression of freedom. Each brushstroke is a testament to their belief in the liberating power of art, capturing the essence of fleeting moments with a vivid, emotive palette. 
 Painting provides Marina with the opportunity to experiment, explore, and experience a sense of freedom as she believes that art knows no bounds or limitations.
She draws inspiration from nature, travelling, music, books, films, memories and photography, from other artists and their artwork.

Recently Marina Dowden has begun running painting workshops driven by her belief in the healing power of art.
