through them you learn.

and self. 

and to have met you at all, first love, was a miracle.
to have loved you and felt loved by you, first love, was a blessing I cherish to this day.
and finally, to have lost you and let you go, first love, was the biggest gift of all. 
once in a while when you cross my mind, I think of the young love and smile. 
I am grateful to you, my first love, for all that I learned

A love letter to remembrance. To all the lives once lived and to the lives that might have been.  To the dreamers that wish upon the stars and to the dreams that are answered. A love letter to life, to hope, to loss, and to all potential “somedays”.

Through a filter of nostalgia and rose colored glasses comes a representation of what life once was, what it might have been, and to what it, one day, could be.

first loves

Mé umění vychází z otázek o povaze neviditelného a neznámého – co to je, proč to existuje a jak to funguje. Fascinuje mě, jak vnímáme tyto nehmotné věci a jak nekonečné perspektivy každého z nás vytvářejí nespočet různých realit. Tato tajemství mě stále více pohlcují a rozšiřují mé vědomí. Odpovědi na tyto otázky zůstávají nejasné, možná je nikdy plně nepoznáme, ale skrze svou tvorbu přináším vlastní odpověď – energii, frekvenci – kterou každý divák vnímá svým jedinečným způsobem.

Skutečné umění, to, které k vám hluboce promlouvá, je oknem do něčeho většího. Je to okno k transcendentnu, ke zdroji, k vesmíru – k bohu. My, lidé, jsme omezeni tím, co nevíme, ale jakmile navážeme spojení s vesmírem, rozšiřujeme se zpět do nekonečna, ze kterého jsme vzešli.

Trochu o mně: Jsem Sarah Annamarie, umělkyně původem z Montrealu, která vyrůstala mezi Českem a Spojenými státy. Tyto kontrastní zkušenosti formovaly můj jedinečný pohled na svět. Vystudovala jsem architekturu a environmentalní design na University of Colorado, kde jsem se mimo jiné zamilovala do času tráveného v horách a propojení se s přírodou. Mimo to mám zkušenosti s ilustracemi, grafickým designem, produktovým a interiérovým designem, které rozvíjím jako freelancer od roku 2020

Questions about the nature of the unseen and the unknown - the what, why, and how - inspire my work lately. The perception of those intangible things and the infinite perspectives that create an even bigger infinite number of realities, through the eyes of all, mesmerize me and my ever-expanding consciousness. The answers remain elusive, and maybe always will, but through my work, I create an intangible response of energy - frequency - that is translated through a narrow perception of the recipient.

Art that speaks to you, a real piece of art, is a window into the transcendent, a window to god, the source, and the universe. We, humans, are finite and bounded by our lack of knowing, but once we make a connection with the universe we expand into the infinity we are born from.
